Event Details

On Monday, November 14th, at 7 pm, Aviva Klein, Elizabeth Kountze and Samantha DeMartino, Tranquil Space Teachers in Training, will hold a Beginners Flow Yoga class to benefit One Global Economy's local representatives in Africa. With a suggested donation of $10, resources raised will go directly to the people responsible for bringing high quality community development information in local languages online and through mobile phones, and training in digital literacy, entrepreneurship, and community journalism in Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa. All are welcome- We hope to see you there!

Come to move your body in a gentle yet invigorating flow practice, focused on paying attention to the connection between our minds, bodies, and the poeple in our communities.

Testimonial for One Global Economy and its online collaboration space for local computer center managers: http://RunCKC.org: We need to share ideas, to grow together and also to work together based on one another’s experience,” wrote Robinson Opiyo, Pala Community Knowledge Center Manager, from Pala, in rural Western Kenya. “This social network (www.RunCKC.org) is the best place do it.”

About One Global Economy

One Global Economy's mission is to ensure that every person, regardless of income and location, can maximize the power of technology to improve the quality of his or her life and enter the economic mainstream.
Since its parent nonprofit One Economy's founding in 2000, One Economy has created a unique and successful model for breaking down the barriers to broadband adoption, providing affordable Internet access, digital literacy training and relevant online resources.

HOW WE WORK
Around the world today, access to information is critical. One Global Economy’s community driven approach to international development works to extend and enhance the benefits of information and technology to those who need it most – the world’s poor. One Global Economy engages individuals, nongovernmental organizations, businesses, and governments in a focused and scalable effort with local partners to provide communities and individuals with the tools they need, via technology, to improve their decision-making and facilitate their economic livelihood.
